Pastor expresses thanks for Big Brothers/Sisters support

Tuesday, Dec. 15 marked the day that necessary funding was in place to finalize the organization known as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Carroll County. The past nine months required many meetings by a committed steering group, multiple fundraisers, pledges made and fulfilled, and strong financial gifts from the community. We send our gratitude to the county’s fiscal court for their clear commitment to the county’s children. We also must note the grand donations from the community’s churches (Worthville Baptist, St. John’s Catholic, St. Peter’s Lutheran, Carrollton Christian, and First Baptist), Dow Corning, Ohio Valley Charities, CAP, NAS, and many individuals interested in seeing this effort through. We anticipate the approaching day when the county’s children will begin to enjoy the proven, positive influence of a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters.
