The followng cases were heard in Trimble County court the week of May 2-May 11, 2012.

Felony
Matthew D. Andrew, court trial. Court enters judgment of acquittal. Dismissed. Directed verdict.
Eliborio M. Arteaga, sexual abuse, 1st degree. Bond amended, waived to Trimble County Grand Jury.
Patrick R. Box, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance, 2nd degree-codeine, operating on suspended or revoked operators license, drug paraphernalia, buying or possessing. Continue to June 5.
Rob Elliott, theft by failure to make required disposition of property. Continue to May 22.
John Payton, waived extradition to Indiana.
Benjamin T. Tharp, manufacturing methamphetamine, 1st offense, possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, possession of controlled substance, 3rd degree, drug unspecified, drug paraphernalia in possession, tampering with physical evidence. Failed to appear, bond revoked. Warrant for $10,000 cash only.
Matthew Aaron Turner, flagrant non-support, failure to notify address change to DOT. Failed to appear, warrant $5,000.

Misdemeanor
Matthew D. Andrew, court trial. Court finds guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Sentencing May 22.
Louis A. Bear, assault 4th degree domestic violence minor injury. Continue to May 22.
Diana Birch, show cause for payment. Paid, continue to June 5-2 cases.
Jerell Farley, theft by deception, including cold checks-18 counts. Not guilty plea entered. Continue to May 22.
Nadine Greenslit, diversion review. Dismissed.
Lisa Gail McClellan, diversion review. Dismissed.
Lori Shirk, operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, etc .08, 1st offense. Not guilty plea entered. DUI-$718 due Aug. 17. Alcohol and Drug Education program enrollment due June 5. 30 days suspended license. Disorderly conduct, 2nd degree dismissed.
Kendra N. Smith, assault 4th degree no visible injury. Not guilty plea entered. 3-month diversion. Continue to Aug. 14 for review for dismissal. Apply $100 to diversion fee and refund balance to surety.
Davey Glenn Wright, review for dismissal. Dismissed.

Traffic
Tia Carmack, show cause for $413 due. Paid $80, continue to May 22.
Ronnie Craig, operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, etc. .08, 1st offense; failure to notify address change to DOT. Continue to June 5.
Kaitlin S. Floyd, no or expired registration plates, no or expired Kentucky registration receipt dismissed.
Adam Foley, failed to appear review. Apply bond to fines, court cost and sheriff fees, refund balance; recall DOT.
Brandie R. Hudson, failure of owner to maintain required insurance or security, 1st offense dismissed.
Michiel A. Martin, other hearing. Continue to July 17.
Joseph D. Metoyer, failure to add taxable unit to taxable inventory dismissed.

Gabrielle D. Taylor, failure to wear seatbelts, failure to produce insurance card amended to failure of owner to maintain required insurance, 1st offense, operating on a suspended or revoked operators license. Failed to appear, warrant $500.
Carla W. Thacker, show cause for $438 due. Defendant paid $110, continue to June 5.
Gerald D. Tilley, disregarding stop sign, rear license not illuminated dismissed. Operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs with .08, aggravator, 1st offense. Guilty plea entered to DUI, 1st aggravator $718 due Sept. 11. Alcohol and Drug Education program for 1st offender enrollment by June 5. License suspended for 90 days, (30 days Hardship license); jail for 30 days; 4 days credit, 26 days conditionally discharged for 2 years.
Bobby J. Troxell, operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs etc. .08, 1st offense, failure of owner to maintain required insurance or security, 1st offense, failure to wear seat belts. Continue to June 19.
Donald L. Ward, operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, etc .08, 1st offense, no or expired registration plates, failure to or improper signal. Pretrial conference June 5.

Jack Wilson, operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs with .08, aggravator, 1st offense, reckless driving, driving DUI on suspended license, 1st offense, aggravator, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, security, 1st offense, license to be in possession, speeding 10 mph over limit, failure to register transfer of motor vehicle, failure to wear seat belts, leaving scene of accident or failure to render aid or assistance, failure to give oncoming vehicle 1/2 of highway.
