The Trimble Banner publishes all misdemeanors, felonies and small-claims judgments recorded in district court, as well as all civil suits recorded in circuit court. Juvenile court cases are not published.
Crime reports are provided by local law enforcement agencies. Charges or citations reported to The Trimble Banner do not imply guilt.
The following cases were heard in Trimble County Court the week of April 25-April 29, 2011.

Felony
Jeremy T. Gore, unlawful possession of meth precursor, 1st offense, drug paraphernalia, buy or possession. Not guilty plea entered. Preliminary hearing May 10.
James Huff, flagrant non-support. Not guilty plea entered. Preliminary hearing.
Kevin Mertz, theft by failure to make required disposition of property. Dismissed without prejudice. Refund bond.
Cleveland Riley, theft by unlawful taking of gasoline under $500. Pretrial conference May 10.
John Darrell Shelton, failed to appear review. Apply bond to court cost, fees and sheriff fees, if any and refund balance.
Misdemeanor
Jimmy S. Barnett, failed to appear review. Defendant not present, Defendant’s 245-day balance is revoked.
Billy G. Frazier, illegal possession of legend drug. Not guilty plea entered. Indecent exposure, 1st degree, 1st offense, indecent exposure, 2nd degree. Not guilty plea entered. Continue to May 24.
Kimberly Kelley, assault 4th degree domestic violence minor injury-2 charges, criminal trespassing, 1st degree. 6 months diversion, review for dismissal Oct 25. Diversion fee $100, public defender fee $50. Apply bond and refund balance.
Cleveland Riley, receiving stolen property under $500. Pretrial conference May 10.
Jessie Howard Riley, assault 4th degree domestic violence no visible injury. Not guilty plea entered. Six months diversion. Review for dismissal Oct. 25. $100 diversion fee Aug. 10.
Jeffrey Sallee, contempt hearing to revoke probation. Defendant paid $500. Revocation hearing May 24. If balance not paid; defendant to serve 180 days.
Clyde Travis, theft by deception, cold checks under $300. Guilty plea entered. Restitution and fees and court cost $305.10 due July 19.
Melissa Gale Wackenthaler, assault 4th degree domestic violence no visible injury. Not guilty plea entered. Continue to May 10.
Jesse W. Wilhelm, speeding 15 mph over limit, improper equipment, failure of owner to maintain required insurance or security, 1st offense, license to be in possession, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, buy or possession, operating on suspended or revoked operators license. Not guilty plea entered. Pretrial conference May 10.
Steven D. Woosley, Assault 4th degree domestic violence minor injury. Not guilty plea entered.
Traffic
Dorothy J. Barrington, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, 1st offense dismissed.
Michael D. Bayne, no or expired registration plates, failure of owner to maintain required insurance or security, 1st offense, operating on suspended or revoked operators license. Not guilty plea entered. Continue to June 20.
Dustin J. Cook, failure to produce insurance card dismissed.
Jose Ernesto Lopez, no tail lamps, no operators or moped license. Guilty plea entered $265 fine and court cost due May 24.
Jacob E. Hunt, no or expired Kentucky registration receipt, no or expired registration plates, failure to register transfer of motor vehicle. Continue to May 24 to provide proof of registration to another party.
Nicholas L. Isaacs, speeding 12 mph over limit. Guilty plea entered, fine paid. State traffic school.
Melanie F. Johnson, speeding 13 mph over limit. Guilty plea entered. State traffic school and $143 court cost due June 21.
Mariah R. Keith, failure to wear seat belts. Failed to appear. Notify DOT.
Dillan Krueger, speeding 15 mph over limit. Guilty plea entered. $173 fine and court cost due June 21. Failure of owner to maintain required insurance or security, 1st offense, failure to notify address change to DOT. Dismissed.
Sally A. Malin, speeding 13 mph over limit. Guilty plea entered, state traffic school and fine paid today. Failure to produce insurance cards dismissed.
Patrick D. Miller, show cause for balance of $633. If not paid by May 10, then jail.
Christopher Lee Poynter, No or expired registration plates, operating on suspended or revoked operators license, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, 1st offense. Not guilty plea entered. Continue to May 24.
Thomas A. Sanford, no or expired registration plates. Proof show, dismissed.
Nicole R. Smith, failure to produce insurance card amended to failure of owner to maintain required insurance or security, 1st offense. $500 fine, $400 suspended. $100 plus $143 court cost due June 21. No or expired registration plates, failure to illuminate head lamps dismissed.
Freddy R. Snow, speeding 16 mph over limit. Guilty plea entered. $32 fine and $143 court cost pay today. Failure to produce insurance card dismissed.
Larry K. Taylor, failure to produce insurance card. Dismissed.
Sarah B. Taylor, failure to wear seat belts, failure of owner to maintain required insurance or security, 1st offense, failure to notify address change to DOT. Failed to appear. Notify DOT.
