On December 9th, Milton Elementary School held a ceremony to recognize all the students that had scored proficient or distinguished on the KCCT test that is administered by the state of Kentucky. There were 60 students recognized from the 4th and 5th grade glasses. Parents were invited to attend the ceremony. As the ceremony began, parents escorted their child into the gym on the red carpet. Students’ names were then announced and the student came forward to place their star on the appropriate banner. The categories recognized were Distinguished and Proficient in Reading and Math in grades 4 and 5, along with Science and Social Studies. Three students were recognized for making Distinguished in all areas; Alexis England, Elisabeth Goodin and Ryker Matthews. These students worked very hard to score this high and Milton School was happy to show how proud they were of all of the students.
Students achieving Distinguished status in Reading included Alexis England, Allen Enos, Mackenzie Herman, Elisabeth Goodin, Dylan Jones, Ryker Matthews and David Zimmerman.
Distinguished Math students were Lache Anderson, Logan Clifford, Kiauna Cosby, Lilly Craig, Russ Crawford, Cody Ellis, Alexis England, Makayla Flener, Elisabeth Goodin, Quentin Huff, Madison Jones, Kaila Lira, Trystan Liter, Adam Mahoney, Ryker Matthews, Levi Neff, Alex Nichols, Jenna Overton, Kenny Payton, Jacob Perry, Joshua Petty, Paeton Robinette, Alexis Rodriquez, Hayley Snelling, Evan Stevens, Laken Taylor, Mason Tilley, Skyla Vogg, Sandra Washington and Zoey Yeakey.
Distinguished in Science were Alexis England, Kaila Lira, Cole Moederzoon, Grant Sanders and Ben Stevens.
Students recognized in Proficient Math were Jarod Ashcraft, Kaiya Brown, Tori Chapman, David Duncan, Andrew Edmondson, Allen Enos, Dakota Falconberry, Mackenzie Herman, Lucas Holt, Jacob Horn, Kylie Ivers, Dominic Johnson, Dylan Jones, Cole Moederzoon, Abbygail Ponder, Chris Roark, Grant Sanders, Hannah Sims, Ben Stevens, Joseph Williams, Sherry Wynn and David Zimmerman.
