Letters to the Editor

Editor:

On June 19, 2012, I was severely injured in an accident. I fell approximately 25 feet from a barn roof when the boards I was standing on gave way. I was lucky in the fact that a friend was there to make the call for help and responded to the accident like a professional. The Trimble County EMS and the Air Methods crew responded quickly and did an outstanding job in getting me to the hospital for proper medical care.

I would like to take this chance to thank the medical personnel that responded that day and thank Mr. Charlie Pickhart for responding so well in a time of emergency. I would also like to thank the community for all the get well cards, prayers and offerings to help my family out in the time of need. I really appreciate all the words of encouragement and acts of kindness from my family and friends. I really appreciate all that everyone has offered and done. Last but not least I would like to especially thank my wife for all that she’s done for me. She never left my side while I was in the hospital and has done my normal duties around the house, plus hers, worked a full-time job and has still managed to assist me in everyday things as I recover.

There have been many people within the county go above and beyond for my family and I can’t thank you enough. Once again, a special thanks to the Trimble County EMS, Air Methods Crew, Charlie Pickhart, my Dad, Mom, Stepmother, Mother-in-law and my wife Nicole McCoy. Thank you so much. God bless.

Sincerely,

Justin McCoy
