Middle school recognizes March standouts

Trimble County Middle School Pricipal Mike Genton has recognized the TCMS 8th Grade Students of the Month and the Teacher and Staff Spotlight for March.


Gabrielle Murray is the 8th Grade Female Student of the Month. Gabby’s favorite class at TCMS is Math. Gabby is a member of the band at school and also participates in marching band. Gabby’s favorite book is The Halo Series, and her favorite TV show is “Big Brother.” After high school Gabby plans to attend Morehead State University and become a veterinarian.

Michael Dunaway is the 8th Grade Male Student of the Month. Michael says favorite class at TCMS are all of them! Michael is involved with basketball, FCA, BETA and Peer Helpers at TCMS. Michael’s favorite book is The Hunger Games, and his favorite thing to watch on TV is ESPN. Outside of school Michael enjoys hanging with friends, AAU basketball, AAU baseball and church. Michael’s favorite memory at TCMS is of playing basketball for the school team. After high school Michael plans to attend the University of Kentucky and become a pharmacist.

Miranda Jordan is our Teacher Spotlight of the Month. She has been teaching since 1991 and has been at TCMS for 12 years. Jordan attended the University of Louisville. Outside of school Jordan enjoys movies, reading, home improvement projects and spending time with her kids and pets. Her favorite foods are Pizza and Salad, and her favorite TV shows are “Criminal Minds,” “Justified,” and “Arrested Development.” Jordan’s favorite memory at TCMS is when students enjoy learning so much that they are disappointed when class is over.

Jackie Thomson has worked at TCMS for eight years. Her favorite TV shows are “NCIS” and “American Pickers” and her favorite food is Chinese. Thomson’s favorite memory is everyday it’s something new.
