Maxine Mae Ford, 68

Maxine Mae Ford, 68, Salem, Ind. died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Ind.

Born Sept. 25, 1939 in Louisville, she was the daughter of Homer and Vesta Thomas Wingfield. She was a retired employee of the old Bata Shoe Company. She was a member of Canton Church and Homemaker’s Club.

Survivors include her husband, Leon Ford, whom she married Aug. 24, 1957; a daughter Teresa (David) Pittman, Pekin, Ind.; a sister Jewel Floyd, Salem, Ind.; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 at Weathers Funeral Home in Salem, Ind. Van Vuyovich officiated. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Weathers Funeral Home in Salem, Ind. was in charge of arrangements.
