Mark Rexroat victim in Friday collision

Mark Rexroat, longtime Bedford firefighter and EMT, has died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash east of Bedford Friday. Dispatchers at Kentucky State Police Post 5 received a call at 7:28 p.m. Friday of a crash between a motorcyle and a truck. Preliminary investigation shows Rexroat, 43 years old from Bedford, was traveling east on U.S. 42 on his motorcycle. Perry Cook, 49, also from Bedford, was traveling west on Hwy. 42 in a truck. Cook attempted to make a left turn onto Havens Avenue near the Bedford Baptist Church and drove into the path of Rexroat.
