Work is continuing at the site of the sewage lagoons or pools on Starks Lane in Bedford. The Waste Treatment works, which is a pollution control project, is federally funded in the amounts of $403,162 and $134,388 locally. “It’s going to be a problem for a long time,” one board member commented on the dust around Bedford Commons. It was suggested that another road be put in that area. The trouble with the sewers was rock. An earlier core drilling had not revealed the rock and that putting some pipe deep enough might be a problem.
