Lloyd Shelby Jeffries, 65, Turners Station, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008 at Baptist Hospital North East in LaGrange.
Born July 23, 1943 in Henry County, he was the son of Newt and Ruth Anna (Adams) Jeffries.
Shelby worked as a dairy farmer and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Oldham County Coon Hunters Club.
Survivors include his wife, Penny (Carpenter) Jeffries, Turners Station; two sons, Troy Kirk (Pamela) Jeffries, Carrollton, and Trent (Jackie) Jeffries, Bedford; three grandsons, Christopher Heaton, Shane Jeffries and Jason Webster; two brothers, Larry and Kenny Jeffries, both of New Castle; two sisters, Brenda Louden, Sulphur, and Willow Mae Padget, Nashville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, and one sister, Patsy Smith, preceded him in death.
Memorial services were Oct. 4, 2008 at Ransdell Funeral Home, Campbellsburg, with Pastor Jeff Combs officiating.
Ransdell Funeral Home, Campbellsburg, was in charge of arrangements.
