Light Up Bedford is Friday

-A A +A

The community’s annual Light Up Bedford celebration will be held this Friday, Dec. 7, at the Courthouse Square. Organizers are hoping for an outstanding crowd for the event.
The Milton Elementary School Choir will start the program with song at 6 p.m. The Christmas Story will be read and the Lighting of the Square will follow. The Bedford Fire Department will lead the Christmas parade to the Morgan Community Center.
Members of the Bedford Rotary Club will hold a chili supper in connection with the festivities at the Morgan Community Center. The Rotarians will begin serving at 5:30 p.m. The price is $6 for adults, $4 for children and includes a bowl of chili, sandwich, drink and dessert.
The Bedford City Commissioners and Mayor will also be on hand at the Morgan Community Center to serve refreshments starting at 6 p.m.
The Bedford Elementary School Choir and Trimble County Middle School Band will perform and then the jolly old elf, Santa Claus, will be on hand to delight young and old alike.
Sponsors of this year’s event are Signature HealthCARE of Trimble County, Ransdell Funeral Home and Music in Motion. The Trimble County senior class and Signature HealthCARE employees installed the Christmas lights again this year.
