Police are still looking for one of 68 individuals indicted last month on charges of drug trafficking in a five-county undercover operation.

Officials say Chad Easton of Carrollton remains at-large. Easton’s last-known address is 806 Sycamore Street, Carrollton, according to Kentucky State Police records. Easton was indicted on one count of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Police believe Easton may have been tipped off to the Nov. 13 raid conducted by officers from KSP, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department, the Carrollton and Owenton police departments, and law-enforcement agencies in Trimble, Henry and Gallatin counties.

“We will pick him up, it’s just a matter of time,” said Carroll County Sheriff Ben Smith. “It would be better for him to just turn himself in, because we will catch him.”

Smith said Easton could be located if he tries to apply for a job, if he is stopped in a roadblock or for a traffic violation or even if he has his ID checked at a bar.

KSP will be conducting its annual holiday traffic-safety checkpoints in Carroll, Trimble, Henry, Owen, Gallatin and Owen counties throughout December.
