(FRANKFORT, KY) - Preliminary statistics* indicate that 17 people died in 16 separate crashes on Kentucky roadways from Tuesday, May 29, through Sunday, June 3, 2012.
The death of Kloie Garcia was one of four fatalities involving pedestrians. The other three occurred in Boone, Madison and Martin counties. The crash in Boone County involved the suspected use of alcohol.
Ten of the fatalities involved motor vehicles and five victims were not wearing seat belts.
