James Richard Troxell, 76, of Seymour, Ind. died Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility, Columbus, Bartholomew County, Ind.
Born October 19, 1931 in La Grange, he was the son of the late Richard James and Cordie (Kirby) Troxell.
He retired as process engineer at RCA in Indianapolis, Ind. and served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was dedicated to his job and his family.
He is survived by his wife since 1953, Annaphine Wilson McCarty; a daughter, Teresa Ann (Mike) McCarty Thias; three sons, Donald W. (Linda) McCarty, James Michael (Ginger) Troxell, Richard P. (Tracy) Troxell; grandchildren, Jason Thias, Chris McCarty, Dustin McCarty, Derick Troxell, Jamie Troxell Medaris; and great-grandchild, Taylor D. Medaris.
His parents, five sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
Services were Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 at Ransdell Funeral Home, Campbellsburg, with Reverend Whayne Mahoney and Reverend Denny Romans officiating.
Burial was at Eminence Cemetery, Eminence.
Ransdell Funeral Home in Campbellsburg was in charge of local arrangements.
