It’s Bruner over Edwards in Circuit Clerk race

Stacy M. Bruner defeated John C. Edwards in the race for Trimble County Circuit Court Clerk in Tuesday’s Democrat Primary Election. Bruner carried all but two of the 12 precincts in the county ultimately out-polling Edwards, 654-425. With no Republican candidates in the race Bruner will be unopposed in November.

Bruner and Edwards, both of whom were trying for elected office for the first time, were candidates for the seat currently held by John’s mother, Theresa Edwards, who opted not to stand for re-election this year.
