I-64 construction to begin in Shelby County

Louisville – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet recently awarded a contract for the widening of Interstate 64 in Shelby County from the Welcome Center to ½ mile east of KY 55.

Work will begin the week of Aug. 12 to widen the roadway to three lanes in each direction. The new lanes will be constructed in the interstate median.
