Editor:
The housing authority of Carrollton recently hosted its’ 10th annual Neighborhood Watch Picnic. It was an evening of good food, fun and fellowship among neighbors. Attendance increased this year indicating the popularity of this annual event.
We owe a great debt of gratitude to the Carroll County Fair Board for providing a tent, chairs, drink tubs and ice and to Mike Humphrey and crew for tent erection and takedown.
Strong support for Neighborhood Watch by Carrollton’s Business Community was evidenced by their generous donation of door prizes for the event. Donors include: McNeal’s Hardware, Kroger, Salon 227, Glauber’s Sports, Chapman Tire Center, Craig’s Do-It-Center, Paul’s Tire, Hair Studio, Al’s Mini Mart, Bobby Giles, Carroll County Fitness Center, Prestonville Shell, Flower-Petaler’s Florist, New Image Hair Salon, Welch’s Riverside Restaurant, Quick Lane, Kentucky Motors, Miller Auto, Auto Zone, Advance Auto, Gene & Sons, Floyd’s Jewelry and Mary Jane’s Pet Grooming.
We are indeed grateful for their generosity and continued support. The drawing for door prizes is always a high point of the event.
The picnic was a joyous occasion. We appreciate each person who made it possible and each person who joined us for the evening. Hope to see you next year.
