Historical society sends appreciation for turnout at 180 event

-A A +A

Letter to the Editor

Editor:
We didn’t gather around the cake and blow out candles nor did we sing “Happy Birthday” but there were some who hummed as they viewed displays of Trimble County’s 180 years.
Trimble County was formed by an act of the Commonwealth of Kentucky General Assembly in 1836 out of sections of Oldham, Henry and Gallatin counties. The county government was formally organized on March 27, 1837 and began on the first day of April of that year. The first meeting was held in the Bedford Methodist Church.
