Although an agreement to begin the work was made this month, the search for funding to dismantle tennis courts and create parking at Trimble County Park actually began in January.

On Jan. 21, 2008, Trimble County Fiscal Court members voted unanimously to apply for a federal grant to help fund the installation of new courts at the park. This, they said, would allow the current play surface to be converted to a parking area for the Tri-County Community Action Agency/Trimble County Senior Center building.
