Grandparent praises school lunch personnel

-A A +A

Recently I had the opportunity to have lunch with my granddaughter at Milton Elementary. In a time when there seems to be so much uncertainty in the world, for a little while I was taken back to a time when life seemed simpler. A time when chocolate or white milk were the only decisions to make in the lunch line as a first grader. I noticed how the children enjoyed their lunch time and freedom to socialize. Most everyone was enjoying a lunch as tasty as one at Bob Evans.
I noticed the lunch room staff had a relationship with each student calling each by their first names and I saw how the students responded in smiles. I was greeted warmly standing in the line of eager first graders and felt the good spirit in the cafeteria.
I am grateful for those wonderful chefs who prepare for our youngsters and the warmth of staff persons who assist making it a wonderful experience. I simply wanted to express good news and encourage grandparents to surprise a grandchild and enjoy a wonderful lunch with them.
Thank you, Milton Elementary, for the kindness demonstrated with each visit.
