CCHS vs Madison Shawe

The Madison Shawe girls tennis team came calling Thursday, April 2 and only brought their singles players. The Lady Panthers won nearly everything before the rain set in.

Lady Panther Katerina Woods lost the first set 5-7 to Maise Lausdr but was up 5-2 and had her 30-love on the final point when the clouds let loose.

Lady Panther Priya Patel held off Hailey Jones 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.

Miriam Jones lost to her Madison Shawe opponent Catherine Bear 2-6, 3-6.

Lady Panther doubles team Devon Hill and Staci McArter and Mercedes Martin and Marissa Brindley both won on the forfeit.

Head coach Larry Morgan said that even though his team hasn’t had much practice time, he sees potential.
