Girls lose to South Oldham, 37-42

The Lady Panthers traveled down Interstate 71 to South Oldham High School on Monday, Feb. 2, and lost a hard-fought game against the Lady Demons , 37-42.

The Lady Panthers got off to a slow start, finishing the first period at 7-12, but were able to come back in the second period.

They went to the locker room down by only two points at the half.

The third quarter was a rough one for the Lady Panthers, who scored only nine to South Oldham’s 14 points.

The final period saw another Lady Panthers comeback push, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win.

Senior guard Lindsay Wallace scored the game high of 15 points; Kyndal Curry logged 7 points and seven rebounds; Hannah Devine scored 10 points; and Marissa Brindley logged four steals, according to Head Coach Randy Mefford.

The girls host Spencer County at 5 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 5, weather permitting. The freshmen, junior varsity and varsity teams all will play the game, which originally was scheduled for tonight.

The Feb. 3 triple-header between the boys teams and the Trimble County High School Raiders has been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 16. It will be held at TCHS.

In the meantime, the boys teams also will play Eminence High School at home starting at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6.
