In 1960, The Metal & Thermit Co, as it was called at the time, conceived, designed, and built a highly specialized plant for the manufacture of specialty coatings. These coatings were used in General Electric dishwashers (in Louisville), in Chevrolet station wagons (in Cleveland) and a variety of other metal cabinetry.
