FEMA assistance available to Trimble storm victims

Area residents who suffered damage to their homes or businesses from the March 2 tornado and straight-line winds are eligible for federal and state assistance.

The first step is registering with the Federal Emergency Management Agency either by calling (1-800) 621-FEMA (3362) or by applying online at www.disasterassistance.gov. The (1-800) number is available seven days a week from 7 a.m.-10 p.m.

The deadline to register with FEMA is May 7.
