Saturday, Oct. 15
Antioch Baptist Church presents Harvest Festival Oct. 15, with a ‘redemption’ yard sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a soup/dessert cook-off. ‘Redemption’ yard sale features clothes, furniture and other household items. Everything is bought with redemption vouchers that are placed in local businesses in Bedford and will run in next week’s edition of The Trimble Banner. Just bring your ‘voucher’ and redeem your purchase while supplies last. Make your favorite pot of soup and dessert to enter the cook-off contest and afterwards share with guests. There will be prizes for the best. Call Betty Stark at 255-7630 to sign up for the cook-off. In addition to the free yard sale and food, there will be games and fellowship and sharing the word. Antioch Baptist Church is four miles from Bedford on US Hwy 421S.

The Milton Elementary School PTO Fish Fry & Auction starts with  food being served from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Kids games will be conducted from 3-5:30 p.m. An auction will be held at 6:30 p.m., featuring classroom themed baskets, student art and donations from local businesses. Advanced tickets (adults $6, children $4) are available at the school office or may be purchased from MES students. Tickets the day of the event will be $7 adults, $4 children.

Saturday, Oct. 22
Halloween Costume Party from 6-9 p.m. at Morgan Community Center. Music, games, eats and treats. Prizes for costumes so come dressed to win. $5 per person or $15 for family (4 or more) All proceeds support the Hands of Christ Food Pantry.

Monday, Oct. 31
Trick or Treat will be from 6-8 for children 12 and younger. Residents should have porch light on if wanting to ‘treat.’ Children should be accompanied by an adult. Motorist please watch for children crossing the streets.
