On Sept. 17, the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and Carroll County Community Development Corp. partnered in hosting its second annual Business Celebration Day.

The event was free to the public and showcased about 40 chamber members.   Food was served, inflatables were available for children, and a fashion show was hosted by both Carrollton Wal-Mart and VF Outlet. The theme this year was a Think Local, Buy Local Campaign, and all members received a Buy Local Window Cling to display in their businesses.

The event could not have been a success without the following: Mike Humphrey and crew, Lonnie Crutcher, Sam Burgess, Carrollton Main Street Program, Shorty Tomlinson, VF Outlet, City of Carrollton, United Healthcare, Board of Directors for Chamber of Commerce and Community Development Corporation, Rachel Troxell, Joan Moore, Backyard Bounce, Jeff Moore, Kroger, Wal-Mart, Michelle Goff, Tommie Causey with  Small Business Administration, Bill Digrezio with SCORE, Carolyn Glauber, who all provided consultations and business development information, The News-Democrat, Carrollton Road Department,  Madison Courier and WIKI and of course all of the chamber members who took part in our big day.

We received positive feedback and plan to host Business Celebration Day again next year.

Business Celebration Day illustrates the chamber’s goal of “Building Business Together.”
