LAST WEEK'S PHOTO: Terry Gossom, Charlie Richmond, Wayne Alexander, Vickie Butler, Kathryn Cull and Mike Westrick called to identify Sammy Kelley, a student at Milton Elementary School in the mid '50s as the boy in the photo. Sammy came into the office Monday to identify himself. He said the picture was taken in 1955 and Helen Perkinson took him to Louisville for an interview with a Courier Journal reporter. He now lives in Hanover.
The Jan. 18 picture was taken in the Smokey Mountains while the 1958 class was on their senior trip. Linda Craig, Wilma Boyer and Gene Wingham identified those facing camera as Linda Pecar Craig, Wilma Simmons Boyer, Ralph Johnson, Indian Chief, Gene Wingham, Dallas Powell, Don Tandy, and Mabel Lawson Kendall. The only one they disagreed on was the one on the right. Linda and Wilma said it was Bobby Chandler and Gene said it was John Brown.
