The long-awaited replacement of the Hwy. 36 West bridge over Locust Creek will begin next month.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced this week that crews will begin moving utilities in the area of the bridge Feb. 4 in preparation for the bridge closure March 1.
In a news release, KYTC officials said the contractor, Judy Construction of Cynthiana, Ky., plans to open the new bridge to traffic by June 1 and expects to complete the entire project by June 30, weather permitting.
