The community Thanksgiving dinner on November 22 is coming together nicely, organizers say. Eight churches from Bedford and Milton will prepare and serve the food. Numerous volunteers have expressed their willingness to help set up and clean afterward.
“We have prepared all the traditional foods and desserts for our first community Thanksgiving dinner at the Morgan Community Center,” Rita Davis, Bedford Deputy City Clerk, said. “The phone calls that I have received are overwhelming with support with people wanting to help and the number of people signing up for the meal.”
Everyone is welcome, Davis said. The meal will be served from 6-8 or until all the food is gone. Organizers ask that if you don’t have a reservation please call by Monday, Nov. 21, and come early so you may be seated by 6 p.m. Those without reservations will be seated on a first come basis.
