Community thanked for cross-country support

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the volunteers and the following businesses, organizations and individuals for the success of both the Trimble County Cross-Country Invitational in October and the Region 5 Cross-Country Championship event this past weekend at Trimble County Park.

I wish to thank the Trimble County Park Board, it’s president, Troy Alexander, and park caretaker Billy Temple; Trimble County Schools Superintendent Marcia Dunaway and the district administration; the Bedford Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department; Trimble County EMS; Jim Hurst; David Clark; John Thomas; Angela Pacheco; Marcia Taylor; Dale and Charlotte Vincent; Nugent Sand; AT&T; Bedford Hardware; Bray’s Orchard; Rumpke; Midway Stop and Go; the Trimble County Athletic Boosters; City Meat Market; Jim Pyles; the La Grange Walmart; LG&E; Police Donuts; LA Entertainment; Judge-Executive Randy Stevens; the unbelievable and amazing parents and grandparents of the cross-country team; Frank Ragland (the best athletic director in the state); my wonderful assistant coaches. Christy McKinney, Kevin Heckler and Mike Dunaway; the incredible group of kids I get the opportunity to coach; and anyone I may have failed to mention.

We received numerous compliments from attending schools on the organization and hospitality experienced at the two races, and regarding the Trimble County Park’s facilities.

Thank you, again, to all of the above and to the community of Trimble County for making our events a huge success and allowing us to share and display our beautiful park.
