May 20

The 2009 Memorial Day program will be held at 10 a.m. on May 25th at the Court House Memorial. The Bedford Rotary Club Sponsors this event and will be assisted by BSA Troop 213 of Bedford, the Bedford Volunteer Fire Dept., The Madison American Legion Honor Guards, The Bedford’s Men Chorus, Members of the TCHS Band, and local Pastors. The Guest Speaker is Glen Powell, recently deployed to the area of conflict.


May 25-30

Trimble County Public Library-This is the last week to sign up for the summer reading program. Activities and workshops will be presented for all ages during June and July.


May 26

Young adult video gaming for children ages 8 and up will start at 3:30 p.m.


May 28

Bolt is the after school movie at the Trimble County Public Library at 3:30 p.m. for children ages 8 and up. Younger children must be accompanied by an adult.


May 30

Angel Food orders need to be picked up today for 9-10 a.m.


June 25

Shelby Energy Annual Membership Meeting, Thursday, June 25th at Henry County High School.



Trimble County Extension Office will do free soil testing to determine nutrient levels of the soil and fertilizer recommendations. Expect a minimum of two weeks for results.

 JCTC Trimble County Adult Education offers free GED, college and workplace preparation classes at four locations. The main location is behind the Trimble County High School on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

The Head Start location (beside Trimble County Middle School) meets on Thursdays from 5-7 p.m.

Workplace skills, including the Kentucky Employability Certifi-cation, is offered at the Trimble County Public Library on Monday and Wednesdays 5-8 p.m. Newest location open at the Christian Church in Milton on Mondays, 5-7 p.m.  Call (502) 255-9191 for more information.

Bedford Elementary School SBDM meeting is the second Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. in the BES Conference Room.

Trimble County High School SBDM will meet the third Thursday of each month at 3:30 p.m. in the school library.

The Trimble County Public Library oversight board meets at noon the fourth Monday of each month in the library's conference room.

Free Financial Workshop. JCTC Trimble County Adult Education will be hosting a “free” financial workshop Thursdays, from 5 -7 p.m at the Trimble County Head Start Building.  The workshop will explore

how to handle purchases, pay stubs, rent to own purchases, credit cards, budgets, and mortgages.  Call 502-255-9191 for more information or to register.

Milton Lodge No 947 F&AM meets at 7:30 the first Monday of each month at the lodge located at 112 Ferry Street in Milton.

Trimble County Apple Festival committee meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the County Judge-executive’s office adjacent to the county courthouse.

 Band Boosters meet the 2nd Tuesday of month at band room at Trimble County High School.

Weight Watchers meets Thursdays at Bedford Springs Church, 43 Shephard Lane. Weigh-in at 5:30  p.m. and meeting begins at 6 p.m.

Milton Lion’s Club meets at 6:30 p.m. the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at the clubhouse.

Asphalt Angels Inc. car club meets at 7 p.m. the first Monday of each month at the corner of School Hollow Rd. and Spring St. New members are welcome. For information call (502) 268-5711 or (502) 648-9322.

Donna Marjorie Stark has published two books with Trimble County ties.

Henry Co. Deed Book 6: 1816-1818, includes three-fourths of Trimble County in the deeds at this time;

Sulphur Fork Baptist Church 1801-1831 gives the clerk's minutes of the church with names spelled just as the clerk wrote them.
