MADISON, Ind. -- The Madison Community Concert Band announces a new series of outdoor concerts this season, to be called “The Mayor’s Concert Series on the River.” There will be three performances, all free and open to the public.
The first will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, under the trees at Fireman’s Park. The park is located at the corner of Vaughn Drive and Jefferson Street.
The second concert will be part of Madison Regatta Week. It will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Bicentennial Park, at the corner of Vaughn Drive and West Street.
The final concert in the mayor’s series will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Lamplight Park Riverfront Gazebo, between West and Central streets.
In addition to the Mayor’s Concert Series on the River, the Madison Community Band has scheduled these performances:
·Friday, June 8, 7 p.m. – Trinity United Methodist Church (part of the Madison Performing Arts Foundation series)
·Saturday, July 7, 7:30 p.m. – Clifty Falls State Park, on the great lawn behind Clifty Inn
·Tuesday, Dec. 18, 7:30 p.m. – Christmas Concert at Clifty Inn, Clifty Falls State Park.
