Melinda McKee Clyde of Cynthiana, Ky. and Christopher Noel Greenwood of Milton, Ky. exchanged vows Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Cynthiana Presbyterian Church. Rev. Patrick Laney officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of James S. and Betsy Clyde of Cynthiana, KY. She is the granddaughter of the late W.E. and Mary Clyde and the late William and Anna Myers McKee. The bride is a graduate of Harrison County High School and Transylvania University. She received her master’s degree from Georgetown College. She is a member of Delta Delta Delta. She is employed by the Fort Thomas School District as a teacher and coordinator for gifted and talented education.
The groom is the son of Gary W. and Janet Greenwood of Milton, KY. He is the grandson of the late Ernest and Kathryn Straub and the late Clyde and Bernice Greenwood. He is a graduate of Trimble County High School and Hanover College. He received his master’s in business administration from Xavier University and is employed as and investigator for the U.S. Department of Labor.
The matron of honor was Susanna Clyde Max, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ashlee Cooper and Ashley Frizzell. Junior bridesmaids were Anna Kathryn Samonds and Molly Samonds. The flower girl was Elizabeth Marie Max.
Robert Greenwood, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Brian Kaufman and Dustin Wilson. The ring bearer was Luke Patrick Greenwood and the honorary ring bearer was Andrew Ross Max.
Serving as ushers were Craig Hallman, Brian Hiner and Tim Sorrell. Music was provided by Tammy Bruce, pianist and organist, Kristi Hiner, pianist, Bill Selin, trumpeter, Laura Max, harpist and Joe D. Hendricks, vocalist. Laura Lilly and Ashlee Wiley attended the guest registry and distributed programs. The wedding coordinator was Resa Wright Browning.
A reception was held at the Prizing House in Cynthiana, Ky. The couple celebrated their vows with a wedding trip to St. Maarten. The new couple resides in Covington, Ky.
