Milton-Madison bridge project
Workmen prepare to pump concrete through a large tube into the mold surrounding a caisson, or foundation, of one of the piers. The pier closest to the Indiana shore will be demolished. All other piers are being widened and reinforced to accommodate the larger size of the new bridge superstructure which will be installed sometime in 2012.
