Cecil Harold Skaggs, Jr., 70

Cecil Harold Skaggs, Jr., 70 of Bedford, died at his home in Trimble County on January 4, 2013.  He was born on March 8, 1942 to the late Cecil Harold Skaggs Sr. and Nellie Parrish Skaggs in Dayton, Ky.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy L. Schweitzer Skaggs, six daughters: Nellie Hewitt, Virginia Willhite, Joyce Hewitt and Helen “Sissy” Krohn, all of Bedford; Sheila Hughes, Pendleton, and Aileen Skaggs of New Castle; and one son, Cecil Skaggs III, Vevay, Ind.; a brother Skip Skaggs, Carrollton, and sisters Wanda Kistner, Lockport, Ky., Kathy Seward, Carrollton, Tammy Botkins, Mount Eden, Ky., and Sandy Smith, Ghent; fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Loretta Kopp and one granddaughter Amanda Williams.

Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at Ransdell Funeral Home.
