On Sept. 18, the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and the Carroll County Community Development Corporation partnered in hosting the first Business Celebration Day on Courthouse Square in Carrollton.

The event was free to the public and showcased 51Chamber members. Mini-business seminars were held from 4-6:30 p.m. Food bought with donations from  Arkema and the City of Carrollton was handed out for free to more than 400 people who attended.

The event could not have been a success without help from the following: Kevin Craig, Mike Humphrey and crew, Danny Dunn, Lonnie Crutcher, Sam Burgess, the Main Street Program, Shorty Tomlinson, Arkema, the City of Carrollton, Traci McBurney, United Healthcare, the Chamber and 3CDC boards of directors, Rachel Troxell, Joan Moore, Josh Yocum, Backyard Bounce, Fun Zone, Jeff Moore, The News-Democrat, Kroger, the Madison Courier, Tommie Causey of the  Small Business Administration, WKID Radio (Froggy) and WIKI Radio, and of course all of the Chamber members who took part in our big day. We received positive feedback and hope to make Business Celebration Day an annual event, which illustrates the Chamber’s goal of “Building Business Together.”
