The Trimble County Board of Education on Saturday, going into session as the Trimble Count School District Financial Corporation, OK’d a resolution to issue bonds for $1.25 million to replace the roof at Trimble County High School.
Superintendent Marcia Haney-Dunaway said Tuesday that work on the building is expected to begin in three weeks.
The board awarded the project to the lowest bidder, Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal in Lexington, with a bid of $1.05 million for the project, including an alternate bid to replace rooftop gas lines.
