Bedford officials eye finances

Bedford City Commission will wait until their certificate of deposit matures on Dec. 7, 2012 to cash it in. According to Mayor Russell Clifton the city can avoid paying a penalty for early withdrawal and will add much needed funds to the city’s coffer. There will be little money deposited to the city’s accounts until 2013 and they need the extra to keep afloat.
