Falling into the category of Persistent Low Achieving high schools in the state of Kentucky has been a mixed blessing, according to Trimble County High School Principal Sterling “Buddy” Sampson.
When he first found out last fall that TCHS was among the schools statewide that were determined to be underachieving by standards set forth by the No Child Left Behind Act, “I was furious,” Sampson said Tuesday. “It was frustrating.”
