Arnold named to Shelby energy board

Diana Arnold of Bedford has been appointed to serve District III on the Shelby Energy Cooperative's Board of Directors. District III encompasses Trimble County and portions of Carroll and Oldham counties.
A graduate of Berea College, Arnold earned graduate hours from Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Louisville to complete her master's degree in teaching. She later attained Rank I, which included course credit for participation in HumBio Summer Institutes at Stanford University.
As a member of Berea College’s 2nd Century Club, Arnold served on the Executive Committee. She is now a member of Berea’s President’s Club, and has been an Alumni Admissions Associate in her area.
Arnold also served as vice president of the general division for the Kentucky Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
Before retiring in 2004, Arnold taught in Trimble and Oldham county schools. She also coached and served as athletic director. She teaches physical education at Bedford Elementary School and owns a seasonal lawn-care service.
