Anna Louise Freeman, 76 of Hanover, Ind., died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 at her residence. She was born on May 29, 1936 in Louisville, Ky., to William K. and Rosie B. Hyden Freeman. She attended school and was raised in Trimble County.
Anna is survived by her companion, Basil “Bud” Newman, Madison, Ind.; five daughters: daughters: Ginny Perry, Summerfield, Fla.; Mary Ann Gardner, Virginia; Lorene Warner, Madison, Ind.; Patricia Carson, Milton; and Billy Jo Smith, Vevay, Ind.; three sons: Robert Crittenden and Eugene Crittenden, both of Madison, Ind.; and William B. Dukes, Jr., Milton; a step daughter: Lucille Redish, California; a sister: Mary Summers, Madison, Ind.; two brothers: Charles Freeman and Tony Freeman, both of Madison, Ind.; 28 grandchildren, 10-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews & other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William B. Dukes; her step sons, Victor Dukes and Johnny Dukes; her grandchildren, Sandy Crittenden, Roseanna Crittenden, Zachary Carson and Ricardo Hernandez; her sisters, Bernice Harmon and Darlene Reed; her brothers, William Freeman, Ronie Freeman, Johnny Freeman, Lonie Freeman, David Freeman, Joe Freeman, Stanley Freeman, James Freeman, Larry Freeman, and Richard Freeman.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 at 1:30 p.m., by Rev. Michael LaFountain at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
Friends may call Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre.
