Trimble County Middle School Principal Mike Genton has recognized the TCMS Eighth Grade Students of the Month for November.

Carrie Hornback is the Female Eighth Grade Student of the Month for November. Carrie’s favorite class is Ms. Burch’s English language arts class. Carrie is member of Band, BETA, and FCA. Her favorite book is “The Hunger Games” and her favorite TV show is “Wipeout.” Outside of school, she enjoys baseball and hunting. Carrie’s favorite memory at TCMS is of attending BETA Convention. After high school, she plans to attend the University of Kentucky to pursue a career as a physician.

Ian Reams is the Male Eighth Grade Student of the Month for November. Ian’s favorite class is history with Mr. Roberts. Ian is a member of the BETA club at TCMS. His favorite books are the Alex Rider series and his favorite TV show is “NCIS.” Outside of school, Ian enjoys playing video games. His favorite memory at TCMS are the TC1C events. After high school, Ian plans to attend Morehead State University to pursue a career as a meteorologist.

Erin Liter is the Eighth Grade Teacher of the Month. Liter is in her fifth year of teaching and her first at TCMS. She teaches reading. Liter earned her bachelor’s degree at Valdosta State University in Georgia. She is working on her master’s degree at Bellarmine University. Outside of school, she enjoys running with her dog Hemi, a Siberian husky, and reading classic novels, riding motorcycles and spending time with her family and friends. At this time, Ms. Liter sponsors no clubs but is looking forward to being a part of the Relay for Life in the spring. Her favorite food is fruit and she especially loves strawberries. Her favorite TV show is “NCIS.”  Ms. Liter’s favorite memory at TCMS is of the pep rallies.

Holly Hance is the Staff Spotlight of the Month. Hance is our Gear Up coordinator at TCMS, and she has been in education for seven years – five of those years at TCMS. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the  University of Louisville, a master’s degree in special education at Western Kentucky University, and her Instructional Leadership degree at University of the Cumberlands. Outside of school Hance enjoys swimming, UK basketball, 4-H camp, Yankees baseball, boating, travel, and spending time with her son, Nate. Her favorite food is Japanese – shrimp and chicken with fried rice. Hance’s favorite TV shows are “Friday Night Lights,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” and “Justified.” Her favorite memories at TCMS are the relationships with kids and her first year of teaching and learning so much.
