3-wide at the Ky. Speedway

The long-anticipated inaugural Sprint Cup Series Race at Kentucky Speedway brought an unprecedented crowd of spectators to the 11-year-old Sparta, Ky. facility Saturday. While traffic charged around the tri-oval, race fans and other motorists sat on nearby Interstate 71 hopelessly trapped in a traffic jam that backed up for miles in both northbound and southbound lanes. Kyle Busch in the M&M car No. 18, shown here battling with Brad Keselowski (left) and Tony Stewart, was the eventual winner of the Quaker State 400.
