A home on King’s Ridge was a total loss following a fire that took four volunteer fire companies eight hours to battle a week ago.
The home of Garland Breeden at 3095 Kings Ridge Road was the scene of a fire that may have started as a result of storm damage, according to Clyde Rowlett, Westside Fire Chief. “Wires were pulled loose during last weeks wind storm and may have started the fire.”
“It was a difficult fire to fight because of construction issues, multiple roofs and a lot of remodeling that has been done in the past,” Rowlett said. “There were no injuries as a result of the fire.”
Westside was assisted by Ghent, Worthville and Milton fire departments Rowlett said.
A motor home on Highway U.S. 42 in Prestonville caught fire Monday night and was a total loss.
Westside Fire Department answered the call at --------------and was assisted by the Ghent Fire Department.
